Our first call we spoke with Andrew and he was great explaining how to set up our appointment with a doggy oncologist and what to kind of expect when we came in.

Unless you really value the free coffee and wifi in the pretty lobby, (and have extra money to throw around), go elsewhere!!! Luckily we left and found another qualified Vet (same credentials) charging $1,453. While the staff were really polite, we were quoted $3,400-$4,000 for our pups broken leg surgery. 30 mins later, still nobody.horrible service that could care less about your time, even though you're paying a PREMIUM for theirs. I kindly say "they said they sent them 30mins ago"."oh.let me go check. 30 mins to see a room, 30 mins to see a nurse, 30 mins for a doctor who doesn't have a clue what you told the nurse, 40 mins to say they still don't have x-rays from other place. Good animal care, but they could care less about wasting your time sitting around. Also, it was a Sunday so I expect to pay a bit more at a 24 hour emergency location

The price was very high, but since I had never been through that process before I don't know how it compares to other locations. That was our first such experience with a pet and the staff made it as easy as it possibly could be. The tumor that burst ultimately left us with no choice. They were great and helped my wife and I through it as we tried to save her. Unfortunately, my only experience was with my sick 12 year old dog. Will likely go to the Lisle pet hospital if we need emergency care again because the slow service was ridiculous. They need to get organized or get more staff or something. Waited almost 2 hours at 2am in a room that had my dogs reeking diarrhea in it (which we cleaned up) just to get check out papers when they said they would bring the papers in "just one minute". The check just consisted of touching the dogs stomach to see if he flinched. When we called they told us they would do an ultrasound and such to check if the ingested bone would hurt my dog.

Staff was nice and good with the dogs but the check we saw didn't seem thorough at all. I've since come to work as a tech at VCA Aurora in hopes that I can provide the same quality of care to our clients. I used to be a vet tech and had an idea of what to expect in this situation, but I was still very impressed by the care and kindness I received. Sadly, my baby ended up having to be put down, but everyone was so sweet to me throughout the process. I brought her to VCA and was honored by the kindness and care of everyone from the reception desk. On a Sunday my dog showed signs of a twisted stomach. Emergency clinic, more like dog cemetary. 40 minutes go by we change our mind, she gets cleaned up. Got in a room 9:45pm was checked right away, then didn't see anyone for another 20 minutes after that waited for estimated cost and it's an arm and a leg. When the issue got worse from them doing a poor job! Everyone is very nice. We come into see if she can get new stitches. 1st we came in to have our Pomeranian checked out and fixed when she was attacked by our rottweiler. I'm actually saddened that you are ducking money out of our wallet. This will never be my first choice again!

with just one more test to confirm that she has a skin infection!! Please be cautious when taking your pet to this location, unfortunately they are the only location open late at night. Well after a huge bill and a very long wait time, I am so very glad that I went with my gut and called my regular vet that had been already treating her.

I was heart broken to hear this come from a professional that did not know exactly what was going on with an animal. With the response from the Vet that was on duty that night, left me just appalled and sickened!! She told us, if we can't afford to treat her there and leave her there to be treated that we may consider euthanasia. Once we told them, as much as we want her to get better, we just cant afford thousands of dollars for her to stay and for them to run whatever tests they thought needed to be done. But before they would even start treating her, they wanted us to admit her to the hospital and run tests to figure out what was going on and that it would cost thousands of dollars. They then told us that they need to run blood work before giving her fluids and such to bring down the fever. They came back several times to confirm what they were seeing on the dog. We told them all of the history that was already being address by our regular vet. It was by far THE WORST experience I have had at a vet. Come the weekend she was running a fever of 105, my friend that is a vet tech, told me to take her to the er. Louisiana dog barking laws. For a few weeks now I have had my 6 year old dog to our regular vet for ear and skin issues.
